Au d\u00e9but des 90\u2019s, le temps de trois albums travers\u00e9s de \u00ab Fuck \u00bb, <strong>Suicidal Tendencies<\/strong> est au sommet de la musique \u00ab m\u00e9tallis\u00e9e \u00bb.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bandanas en avant, short-pants \u00e0 mi-mollet, casquette de base-ball viss\u00e9e sur le cr\u00e2ne autant que lunettes noires sur le nez, les tendances suicidaires passent du radical au Metal. Tenant tout autant d\u2019<strong>un gang de skaters<\/strong> que d\u2019un groupe de musiciens, ces mecs-l\u00e0 se mettent \u00e0 produire un<strong> thrash metal<\/strong> moiti\u00e9 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=nGOGybrdxfU\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Slayer<\/a>, moiti\u00e9 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=hUkksaWKFB4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Anthrax<\/a>, une mixture \u00e0 faire rissoler les amplis.<\/p>\n<h3>SUICIDAL TENDENCIES &#8211; Get Whacked<\/h3>\n<div class=\"youtube-embed\" data-video_id=\"WIf9YyGRpWA\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Get Whacked\" width=\"696\" height=\"522\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/WIf9YyGRpWA\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tournant sur la platine, griff\u00e9 par l\u2019aiguille, \u00ab <strong>Lights camera revolution<\/strong> \u00bb (1990) sort des enceintes telle une rhinorrh\u00e9e barbel\u00e9e. V\u00e9ritables <strong>outils de laminage<\/strong>, les instruments d\u00e9fouraillent des <strong>notes ac\u00e9r\u00e9es<\/strong> par tous les pores de leurs mat\u00e9riaux. Face \u00e0 un matraquage de cette intensit\u00e9 : changements de rythmes tous les trois couplets, accords d\u00e9bit\u00e9s au Tommy Gun, c\u2019est lessiv\u00e9 qu\u2019on ressort de l\u2019\u00e9coute. La brochette de chansons ins\u00e9r\u00e9e au c\u0153ur du sillon ridiculise les ouragans, <strong>colle la racl\u00e9e aux concurrents.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Disco&rsquo;s out, murder&rsquo;s in<\/h3>\n<div class=\"youtube-embed\" data-video_id=\"y2jZBUoh3Yo\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Disco&#039;s Out, Murder&#039;s In\" width=\"696\" height=\"522\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/y2jZBUoh3Yo\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Suicidal Tendencies<\/strong> : qui sous ce manteau ? Une horde de huns ? M\u00eame pas ! <strong>Des gamins de Venice<\/strong>, Californie. Il y a d\u2019abord <strong>Mike Clark,<\/strong> un guitariste rythmique au look de Chewbacca, <strong>serial \u00ab riffeur \u00bb<\/strong> au bras d\u2019acier. Il y a ensuite un soliste black : <strong>Rocky George<\/strong>. \u00ab <em>Qui \u00e7a ?!<\/em> \u00bb. Il p\u00e9tarade des grappes de notes envelopp\u00e9es d\u2019\u00e9chos, de phasing et de saturation. Son jeu adopte moult <strong>larsens \u00ab dirig\u00e9s \u00bb<\/strong> qu\u2019il distille tout au long des morceaux.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pour la partie rythmique, si l\u2019on retrouve actuellement le ph\u00e9nom\u00e9nal Dave Lombardo \u00e0 la batterie, des tailleurs de crayons AOC l\u2019ont pr\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9, dont <strong>Jimmy DeGrasso<\/strong> et\/ou Josh Freese. Du c\u00f4t\u00e9 des quatre cordes, le monstrueux <strong>Robert Trujillo<\/strong> phagocyte sa basse, cette chose minuscule qui ne parait rien de plus qu\u2019un jouet entre ses mains. Par la suite, il partira \u00e9pauler Lars Ulrich chez<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=YinYm4mbpvQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> Metallica<\/a>. Pour \u00ab Suicidal for life \u00bb, il cr\u00e9e l\u2019\u00e9quivalent d\u2019<strong>un typhon<\/strong>, d\u2019<strong>une fission nucl\u00e9aire<\/strong> \u00e0 laquelle se greffent des <strong>secousses sismiques<\/strong>. L\u2019espace-temps s\u2019en retrouve carr\u00e9ment perturb\u00e9 !<\/p>\n<h3>Don&rsquo;t give a fuck<\/h3>\n<p>https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=lpGrymzhrUA<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pourtant, suite \u00e0 cet album, <strong>le groupe marque une pause<\/strong> de quatre ann\u00e9es. Lorsqu\u2019il revient aux affaires, c\u2019est avec de nouveaux musiciens : \u00ab <em>Le temps de l\u2019adolescence se consume telle une cigarette, rideau de fum\u00e9e sur l\u2019in\u00e9luctable \u00e9pilogue post immortalit\u00e9<\/em> \u00bb. Est-ce la raison pour laquelle le titre qui cl\u00f4t la Face B de \u00ab Pour la vie \u00bb pr\u00e9sente une forme musicale inhabituelle ? Comme <strong>une \u00e9pitaphe<\/strong> ?
