La projection compte <strong>trois longs m\u00e9trages<\/strong> pour le prix d\u2019un. En mati\u00e8re de th\u00e9matiques, l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e8nement couvre le <strong>fantastique, la science-fiction et l\u2019horreur<\/strong>. Les adolescents se jettent comme des poss\u00e9d\u00e9s sur ce cadeau du Malin, volontaires pour trembler au moindre grincement de porte. A l\u2019occasion de la troisi\u00e8me \u00e9dition de ces soir\u00e9es, \u00ab <strong>Phantom of the Paradise<\/strong> \u00bb est projet\u00e9 : premier v\u00e9ritable \u00ab <strong>clip musical horrifique<\/strong> \u00bb du si\u00e8cle dernier, bien avant le \u00ab Thriller \u00bb de Michael Jackson.<\/p>\n<h3>Phantom of the Paradise &#8211; Trailer<\/h3>\n<div class=\"youtube-embed\" data-video_id=\"2n5qVJEg3qA\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Phantom Of The Paradise Trailer\" width=\"696\" height=\"522\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/2n5qVJEg3qA\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Son r\u00e9alisateur, <strong>Brian de Palma<\/strong> (1940), est l\u2019auteur\/metteur en sc\u00e8ne d\u2019une v\u00e9ritable <strong>ruche \u00e0 succ\u00e8s<\/strong> depuis 1968. Gloriole : de la critique professionnelle au grand public, il b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie d\u2019un <strong>pl\u00e9biscite<\/strong> quasi inconditionnel. A titre d\u2019exemples, citons quelques-unes de ses r\u00e9ussites : \u00ab <strong>Carrie<\/strong> \u00bb (1976) avec le d\u00e9butant Travolta, un r\u00f4le en or pour Michael Caine dans \u00ab<strong> Pulsion<\/strong> \u00bb (1980) , \u00ab <strong>Blow out<\/strong> \u00bb (1981) avec Travolta \u00e0 nouveau, le remake de \u00ab <strong>Scarface<\/strong> \u00bb (1983) et la prestation \u00ab\u00a0cabot\u00a0\u00bb de Pacino, l\u2019hitchkockien \u00ab <strong>Body double<\/strong> \u00bb (1984), le trio dithyrambique Costner\/Connery\/De Niro servant \u00ab <strong>Les incorruptibles<\/strong> \u00bb (1987), Tom Cruise\u2019s \u00ab <strong>Mission impossible<\/strong> \u00bb (1996), l\u2019adaptation du formidable roman de James Ellroy \u00ab <strong>Le Dalhia noir<\/strong> \u00bb (2006). Avec la libre mise en images et musique du fantastique roman de Gaston Leroux : \u00ab <strong>Le fant\u00f4me de l\u2019op\u00e9ra<\/strong> \u00bb (1910), il troue l\u2019\u00e9cran ! \u00ab <strong>Phantom of Paradise<\/strong> \u00bb :<strong> Grand prix<\/strong> du Festival du film fantastique \u00e0 <strong>Avoriaz en 1975<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/culturesco.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Grand-prix.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2707\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/culturesco.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Grand-prix.jpg?resize=226%2C300&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Avoriaz\" width=\"226\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Globalement, le film m\u00eale <strong>deux histoires<\/strong> habill\u00e9es en com\u00e9die musicale : celle du \u00ab <strong>Fant\u00f4me de l\u2019Op\u00e9ra<\/strong> \u00bb et celle d\u2019un \u00ab <strong>Faust<\/strong> \u00bb rock\u2019n\u2019roll au comportement Phil \u00ab Spectorien \u00bb. Un jeune auteur\/compositeur en devenir, <strong>Winslow Leach<\/strong> : le phantom, propose une cantate \u00e0 <strong>Swan<\/strong>, producteur sulfureux qui cherche des musiques pour faire l\u2019ouverture de sa nouvelle salle de spectacle : <strong>le Paradise<\/strong>. A l\u2019\u00e9coute de ce que Swan \u00e0 fait de son \u0153uvre, <strong>Leach s\u2019\u00e9vade<\/strong>. Il p\u00e9n\u00e8tre de force dans l\u2019usine de son tortionnaire, possesseur des disques \u00ab Dead Records \u00bb, afin de d\u00e9truire les enregistrements injurieux. Il fait une fausse man\u0153uvre et les <strong>chairs<\/strong> d\u2019une partie de son<strong> visage<\/strong> se retrouvent <strong>incrust\u00e9es<\/strong> d\u2019une <strong>face de vinyle<\/strong>. Par la suite, il rev\u00eat l\u2019apparence du <strong>phatom<\/strong>, hante les coulisses du<strong> Paradise<\/strong>, y produit <strong>moult incidents<\/strong> retardant d\u2019autant son inauguration.<\/p>\n<h3>Phantom of the Paradise &#8211; The Juicy Fruits<\/h3>\n<div class=\"youtube-embed\" data-video_id=\"IRw1Oc3HmVg\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Phantom Of The Paradise (2\/2) Split Screen Car Bomb (1974) HD\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/IRw1Oc3HmVg?start=74\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bobines de pellicule d\u00e9filant, on d\u00e9couvre que <strong>Swan<\/strong> a <strong>vendu son \u00e2me au Diable<\/strong> contre la <strong>jeunesse \u00e9ternelle<\/strong> et le r\u00f4le d\u00e9moniaque de <strong>collecteur d\u2019\u00e2mes<\/strong>. S\u2019en suit un man\u00e8ge manipulateur d\u2019ing\u00e9nuit\u00e9\/malignit\u00e9 entre les deux hommes. Le <strong>final est grandiose<\/strong>, d\u2019une dimension <strong>biblique<\/strong> et d\u00e9sesp\u00e9r\u00e9e. Seule l\u2019\u00e2me pure de Phoenix en sortira indemne.<br \/>\nFilm\u00e9 sur le mod\u00e8le d\u2019une <strong>com\u00e9die musicale dramatique<\/strong>, le montage est en roue libre, innovant, truff\u00e9 de traveling, d\u2019<strong>humour et <\/strong>de <strong>musique<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La <strong>BO<\/strong> et le <strong>r\u00f4le de Swan<\/strong> sont l\u2019\u0153uvre de <strong>Paul Williams<\/strong>, habituel interpr\u00e8te de country. Pour le film, il d\u00e9montre toutes les facettes de son art. Ses chansons couvrent une<strong> large palette musicale<\/strong> : rock \u00ab Shalala woooooohhhh \u00bb, pop surf digne des <strong>Beach Boys<\/strong>, jerk, balade soul \u00e0 l\u2019interpr\u00e9tation torride, hard rock, l\u2019ensemble <strong>sonnant tr\u00e8s 70\u2019s<\/strong>. L\u2019assemblage h\u00e9t\u00e9roclite est d\u2019une telle qualit\u00e9 que la bande son, seule, peut suffire \u00e0 satisfaire les plaisirs m\u00e9lomanes de tout<strong> amateur de rock<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>Phantom of the Paradise &#8211; Somebody super like you<\/h3>\n<div class=\"youtube-embed\" data-video_id=\"l2iHPnmAT0o\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Phantom of the Paradise - Somebody Super Like You\" width=\"696\" height=\"522\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/l2iHPnmAT0o\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lors de la c\u00e9l\u00e8bre <strong>sc\u00e8ne de la douche<\/strong>, calqu\u00e9e en hommage sur celle de \u00ab <strong>Psychose<\/strong> \u00bb, o\u00f9 <strong>Beef<\/strong> applique un traitement \u00ab <strong>The Doors<\/strong> \u00bb \u00e0 un titre de Winslow, une tirade d\u00e9clam\u00e9e dramatiquement par le \u00ab Phantom \u00bb donne \u00e0 r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir : \u00ab <strong><em>Ne chantes plus ma musique. Ni ici, ni nul part ailleurs, tu as compris ? Jamais ! Ma musique est pour Ph\u00e9nix, personne ne peut la chanter. Qui d\u2019autre la chantera, mourra<\/em> <\/strong>\u00bb (libre traduction fran\u00e7aise). En r\u00e9digeant ces lignes, j\u2019imagine tous ces <strong>amateurs<\/strong> qui ont un jour <strong>chant\u00e9<\/strong> un<strong> titre<\/strong> de cette <strong>BO<\/strong> et qui vivent, depuis, avec ce <strong>terrible anath\u00e8me au-dessus de leur t\u00eate<\/strong>. Brrrrrrrrr !!!
