Sa passion pour la peinture d\u00e9bute \u00e0 Berlin lorsqu&rsquo;il d\u00e9couvre en automne 1913 \u00ables magnifiques tableaux de l&rsquo;\u00c9cole Fran\u00e7aise \u00e0 la Galerie nationale.\u00bb d\u00e9clare-t-il. Il se souvient de ses premi\u00e8res \u00e9motions :<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify\">\u00abL\u2019atmosph\u00e8re propre \u00e0 ces tableaux, et surtout celle du paysage si \u00e9vocateur de V\u00e9theuil par Claude Monet, m\u2019impressionna vivement&#8230; et c\u2019est \u00e0 partir de cet instant que ma d\u00e9cision \u00e9tait prise que, si jamais je pouvais songer \u00e0 garnir mes murs de tableaux de ma\u00eetres, ce serait un choix de Manet, de Monet, de Renoir, de Degas et de C\u00e9zanne.\u00bb<\/h4>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Son mariage en 1920, avec Charlotte Schalk fille du banquier Ernst Schalk lui ouvre les portes de l&rsquo;entreprise Magdebourg qui produit des moteurs et des h\u00e9lices pour les avions. Il devient l&rsquo;unique propri\u00e9taire de l&rsquo;usine en 1929 gr\u00e2ce aux capitaux de sa belle-famille. Une r\u00e9organisation et l&rsquo;acquisition du brevet d&rsquo;un canon lui assurent des grosses commandes de la part de la France et de la Grande-Bretagne.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify\">\u00ab Ce n&rsquo;est qu&rsquo;en 1936 que je pus acheter, d&rsquo;entente avec ma femme, toujours pleine d&rsquo;enthousiasme, le premier dessin de Degas et une nature morte de Renoir. Ce premier cercle comprenant des \u0153uvres de Corot, de Van Gogh et de C\u00e9zanne, se compl\u00e9ta rapidement et forma le centre de ma collection.\u00bb Emil B\u00fchrle<\/h4>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">A partir de 1951 il livre des armes \u00e0 l&rsquo;Otan, et aux arm\u00e9es des Etats Unis et Suisse.<br \/>\nPendant la guerre le collectionneur ach\u00e8te plusieurs toiles \u00e0 la prodigieuse et peu \u00ab\u00a0scrupuleuse\u00a0\u00bb galerie Fischer de Lucerne.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">A la fin de la seconde guerre mondiale les alli\u00e9s diligentent l&rsquo;officier <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Douglas_Cooper_(art_historian)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Douglas Cooper<\/a> pour r\u00e9cup\u00e9rer les \u0153uvres d&rsquo;art confisqu\u00e9es en France par les autorit\u00e9s allemandes. Treize tableaux sont identifi\u00e9s chez Emil B\u00fchrle.<br \/>\nEn 1948 le Tribunal F\u00e9d\u00e9ral suisse ordonne la restitution imm\u00e9diate des \u0153uvres.<br \/>\nB\u00fchrle propose de racheter les tableaux aux propri\u00e9taires, neuf redeviennent en sa possession, les quatre restants sont restitu\u00e9s.<br \/>\nAujourd&rsquo;hui sont pr\u00e9sentes dans la collection sept \u0153uvres d&rsquo;art spoli\u00e9es en 1941, achet\u00e9es aupr\u00e8s de la Galerie Fischer en 1942, restitu\u00e9es en 1948 suite \u00e0 l&rsquo;injonction juridique, puis rachet\u00e9es une deuxi\u00e8me fois aux propri\u00e9taires entre 1948 et 1951.<\/p>\n<h3>La collection B\u00fchrle au Kunsthaus<\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_22882\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-22882\" style=\"width: 313px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-22882\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/culturesco.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Buhrle_Kunst_2.jpg?resize=313%2C400&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"La collection B\u00fchrle\" width=\"313\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/culturesco.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Buhrle_Kunst_2.jpg?resize=234%2C300&amp;ssl=1 234w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/culturesco.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Buhrle_Kunst_2.jpg?resize=490%2C627&amp;ssl=1 490w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/culturesco.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Buhrle_Kunst_2.jpg?resize=328%2C420&amp;ssl=1 328w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/culturesco.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Buhrle_Kunst_2.jpg?resize=600%2C768&amp;ssl=1 600w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/culturesco.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Buhrle_Kunst_2.jpg?w=469&amp;ssl=1 469w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 313px) 100vw, 313px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-22882\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">La collection B\u00fchrle<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h4>\u00c9douard Manet<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Le collectionneur admire tout particuli\u00e8rement ce peintre novateur qui puise son inspiration chez les ma\u00eetres de la peinture classique.<br \/>\nSans se rallier aux groupes des impressionnistes, il suscite malgr\u00e9 tout leur admiration et devient ami avec <a href=\"https:\/\/culturesco.com\/index.php\/2018\/11\/06\/auguste-renoir-impressionnisme-et-periode-nacree\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Auguste Renoir<\/a> et <a href=\"https:\/\/culturesco.com\/index.php\/2019\/06\/13\/le-peintre-claude-monet-impressionnisme-et-nympheas-son-histoire-avec-georges-clemenceau\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Claude Monet.<\/a><br \/>\nComme eux, il sera conspu\u00e9 par les critiques, puis reconnu comme un des artistes de g\u00e9nie qui marque l&rsquo;histoire de l&rsquo;art en imposant son style. <strong>\u00ab Je peins ce que je vois, et non ce qu&rsquo;il plait aux autres de voir.\u00bb<\/strong> d\u00e9clare-t &lsquo;il.<br \/>\nA sa mort Edouard Manet laisse plus de 400 tableaux.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Emil B\u00fchrle a compos\u00e9 sa collection avec passion, il met en avant les traits communs qui unissent les chefs-d&rsquo;\u0153uvre<\/strong>. Il r\u00e9unit dans une m\u00eame salle un pr\u00e9curseur du modernisme <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Albert_Cuyp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Aelbert Cuyp<\/a> avec \u00ab\u00a0Orage sur Dordrecht\u00a0\u00bb 1645 et Edouard Manet \u00ab\u00a0Les Hirondelles\u00a0\u00bb 1873. Le protagoniste est effondr\u00e9 sur le lit le pistolet encore dans la main. Sa tenue vestimentaire laisse penser qu&rsquo;il revient d&rsquo;une soir\u00e9e. Le peintre a quitt\u00e9 son pays natal pour fuir les affrontements entre les franquistes et les r\u00e9publicains ; il s&rsquo;installe \u00e0 Paris en ao\u00fbt 1940 et vit dans son atelier rue des Grands Augustins. Les objets du quotidien font na\u00eetre l&rsquo;inspiration.
