Ses plus belles ann\u00e9es durent cinq ans o\u00f9 il vit surtout \u00e0<strong> Manchester<\/strong>, \u00e9picentre du ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>A partir de l\u00e0, de A \u00e0 Z, il dresse un portrait de cette p\u00e9riode sans quasiment (Joe Jackson par exemple) oublier personne, ne serait-ce que par citation, mais forc\u00e9ment avec une pr\u00e9cision folle.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><em>Joy Division &#8211; Shadowplay (Granada TV, premi\u00e8re apparition T\u00e9l\u00e9visuelle)<\/em><\/h3>\n<div class=\"youtube-embed\" data-video_id=\"6mpZUPPTyjo\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Joy Division - Shadowplay\" width=\"696\" height=\"522\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/6mpZUPPTyjo\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Le livre part du principe d&rsquo;un album marquant par groupe avec des focus (<strong>les badges<\/strong>, <strong>Margaret Thatcher,<\/strong> les <strong>n\u00e9oromantiques<\/strong>), des interviews (<strong>Martin Hannett<\/strong>, <strong>Mark E. Smith<\/strong>, <strong>Morrissey<\/strong>, ) de personnages marquants de cette \u00e9poque ou des faits obligatoires comme <strong>le concert l\u00e9gendaire des Sex Pistols et des Buzzcocks au Lesser Free Trade Hall, le 4 juin 1976<\/strong> en pr\u00e9sence d&rsquo;une cinquantaine de spectateurs dont figuraient sans se conna\u00eetre, <strong>Peter Hook<\/strong>, <strong>Bernard Sumner<\/strong>, <strong>Ian Curtis<\/strong>, <strong>Mark E. Smith<\/strong>, <strong>Morrissey<\/strong> et d&rsquo;autres encore qui vont passer sans douceur du punk \u00e0 la New Wave.<\/p>\n<h3><em>The Smiths &#8211; Hand In Glove (Rock Palast live, 1984)<\/em><\/h3>\n<p>https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=OpmE1E8iyNo<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Il dresse un portrait des villes fortes issues de cette nouvelle vague dont<strong> Manchester<\/strong>, ville fondatrice, mais aussi <strong>Liverpool,<\/strong> pas tr\u00e8s loin, <strong>Sheffield<\/strong>, <strong>Bristol<\/strong> et, plus en retrait, c&rsquo;est ce qui est int\u00e9ressant, <strong>Londres<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Il d\u00e9peint aussi les diff\u00e9rentes modes de cette p\u00e9riode\u00a0: <strong>le gothique<\/strong>,<strong> la cold wave<\/strong>,<strong> le n\u00e9oromantisme<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Pour finir il est agr\u00e9able, enfin, de lire quelques lignes autour d&rsquo;un album de groupes cultes et ador\u00e9s \u00a0et ignor\u00e9s aujourd&rsquo;hui, h\u00e9las, que beaucoup ont \u00e9cout\u00e9s et dont les jeunes devraient tendre l&rsquo;oreille : <strong>The Sound<\/strong>, <strong>Chameleons<\/strong>,<strong> Eyeless in Gaza<\/strong>, <strong>The Wake<\/strong>, <strong>A Certain Ratio<\/strong>,<strong> Rip, Rig + Panic<\/strong> avec les d\u00e9buts de <strong>Neneh Cherry<\/strong>, <strong>Talk Talk<\/strong>, <strong>The Psychedelic Furs<\/strong> et bien d&rsquo;autres.<\/p>\n<h3><em>The Sound &#8211; I Can&rsquo;t Escape Myself (1980)<\/em><\/h3>\n<div class=\"youtube-embed\" data-video_id=\"M0FKEDexivA\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Sound - I Can&#039;t Escape Myself (HQ)\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/M0FKEDexivA\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Ah, il ne faudrait pas oublier aussi les pr\u00e9mices de toutes ces ann\u00e9es.
