Regrettons juste une chose\u00a0: les dates de parution. L&rsquo;\u00e9tude de <strong><i>Seventeen Seconds<\/i><\/strong> sort en <strong>2021<\/strong> alors que l&rsquo;album sort en <strong>1980<\/strong>, de m\u00eame, ici, <strong><i>Faith<\/i><\/strong>, sorti il y a quelques semaines en <strong>2022<\/strong> alors que l&rsquo;album date de<strong> 1981<\/strong>. On peut supposer qu&rsquo;il en sera de m\u00eame pour <strong><i>Pornography<\/i><\/strong>, <strong>l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e prochaine<\/strong>, alors qu&rsquo;on f\u00eate cette ann\u00e9e les quarante ans de sa sortie.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Ce l\u00e9ger d\u00e9calage est dommage mais rien de bien grave. L&rsquo;important demeure le contenu et il n&rsquo;est pas mince m\u00eame si l&rsquo;ouvrage \u00e9crit est r\u00e9duit.<\/p>\n<h3><em>The Cure &#8211; All Cats Are Grey (live Metz, 17\/10\/1981) &#8211; musique Lol Tolhurst<\/em><\/h3>\n<div class=\"youtube-embed\" data-video_id=\"497kKo_h_E8\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Cure - all cats are grey live metz 81\" width=\"696\" height=\"522\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/497kKo_h_E8\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Nous voici donc plong\u00e9 dans <strong>les plus tristes et d\u00e9prim\u00e9s des titres compos\u00e9s par le groupe<\/strong>, devenu trio. Plongez-vous jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 couler comme <strong>\u00ab\u00a0The Drowning Man\u00a0\u00bb<\/strong> pour (re)d\u00e9couvrir cette beaut\u00e9 insens\u00e9e que fut la sortie de l&rsquo;album. Oui, l&rsquo;oeuvre est grise \u00e0 l&rsquo;image de la pochette, oui, les morceaux tournent autour de la croyance mais <strong>\u00ab\u00a0Faith\u00a0\u00bb<\/strong> qui met fin \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9preuve finit presque positivement. <em><strong>\u00ab\u00a0Nothing left but faith\u00a0\u00bb<\/strong><\/em> ne signifie pas une croyance improbable dans une religion quelconque mais dans l&rsquo;affirmation de soi et de ses convictions, quitte \u00e0 rester seul, <em><strong>\u00ab\u00a0I went away alone\u00a0\u00bb<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n<h3><em>The Cure &#8211; The Funeral Party (Live, Metz, 17\/10\/81)<\/em><\/h3>\n<div class=\"youtube-embed\" data-video_id=\"J1PXAzzYAEU\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Cure - The Funeral Party (live)\" width=\"696\" height=\"522\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/J1PXAzzYAEU\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">La plupart de ceux qui liront cette chronique connaissent par c\u0153ur tout cela. Juste pour m\u00e9moire, il faut se rappeler cette introduction, faute de premi\u00e8re partie, en forme d&rsquo;animation, de plus de vingt minutes, intitul\u00e9e <strong><i>Carnage Visors<\/i><\/strong>, qui excitait au plus haut point le public, le d\u00e9rangeait. Il le sifflait alors qu&rsquo;il l&rsquo;applaudisse aujourd&rsquo;hui. En point final, ne jamais oublier que les concerts se terminaient pour la plupart par <strong>\u00ab\u00a0Forever\u00a0\u00bb<\/strong>, un in\u00e9dit qui le restera longtemps car les paroles changeaient sans cesse au gr\u00e9 de l&rsquo;humeur du chanteur. <b>Plus fort<\/b> et\u00a0plus tard, en pleine Curemania, le groupe donnera une folle version de <em><strong>\u00ab\u00a0Faith\u00a0\u00bb<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0de plus de <strong>quatorze minutes<\/strong> en hommage <strong>aux victimes de la r\u00e9pression chinoise sur la place Tiannamen le 4 juin 1989.<\/strong> Ce jour-l\u00e0 ils jouaient \u00e0 <strong>Rome<\/strong>, mais s&rsquo;ils avaient pu \u00eatre \u00e0<strong> P\u00e9kin<\/strong>, <strong>Robert Smith<\/strong> aurait hurl\u00e9 la m\u00eame chose.<\/p>\n<h3><em>The Cure &#8211; Faith (Live, Rome, 4\/06\/89)<\/em><\/h3>\n<div class=\"youtube-embed\" data-video_id=\"mBLAR4_IC0A\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Cure -  Faith (live, Rome, Italy, June 4, 1989)\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/mBLAR4_IC0A\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Tout cela est remarquablement retrac\u00e9 jusqu&rsquo;aux pr\u00e9mices fous et incomparables du futur <strong><i>Pornography <\/i><\/strong>avec les d\u00e9buts aux paroles encore balbutiantes, fin 1981, de <strong>\u00ab\u00a0One Hundred Years\u00a0\u00bb<\/strong>, <strong>\u00ab\u00a0Hanging Garden\u00a0\u00bb<\/strong> et <strong>\u00ab\u00a0The Figurehead\u00a0\u00bb<\/strong>.
