Nul n&rsquo;est proph\u00e8te en son pays, dit-on, cela se v\u00e9rifiera durant toute leur carri\u00e8re. Et pourtant <strong>les quatre membres avaient tout pour r\u00e9ussir\u00a0: des m\u00e9lodies belles et sombres, des concerts enlev\u00e9s et teigneux.<\/strong> H\u00e9las, les labels n&rsquo;ont jamais cru en eux, comme souvent chez les meilleurs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Heureusement la gloire surgit ailleurs, notamment en <strong>Hollande<\/strong> et \u00e0 un degr\u00e9 moindre, en <strong>France<\/strong>, en <strong>Belgique<\/strong> et en <strong>Allemagne<\/strong> (de l&rsquo;Ouest).<\/p>\n<h3><em>The Sound &#8211; Longest Days (live)<\/em><\/h3>\n<div class=\"youtube-embed\" data-video_id=\"p0J9pNV1ph0\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Longest Days (Live)\" width=\"696\" height=\"522\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/p0J9pNV1ph0\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Inutile de revenir sur leur histoire, il semblerait qu&rsquo;une partie d&rsquo;un livre leur soit consacr\u00e9 dans un avenir pas trop lointain, esp\u00e9rons-le. Toujours est-il que le ma\u00eetre des lieux <strong>Adrian Borland<\/strong> (chant, guitares) ajout\u00e9 de ses comp\u00e8res indissociables, <strong>Graham Bailey<\/strong> (Bass), <strong>Max Mayers<\/strong> (Keyboards) et <strong>Mike Dudley<\/strong> (Batterie) donn\u00e8rent de superbes concerts et des titres magnifiques.<\/p>\n<h3><em>The Sound &#8211; New Way Of Life (Live)<\/em><\/h3>\n<div class=\"youtube-embed\" data-video_id=\"jnRHAQe98kA\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"New Way of Life (Live)\" width=\"696\" height=\"522\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/jnRHAQe98kA\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Cet ultime album, live, donc indispensable<\/strong>, permet de mieux appr\u00e9cier une sorte de deuxi\u00e8me partie de l&rsquo;\u00e9volution du quatuor. Si l&rsquo;album se r\u00e9sume \u00e0 cinq titres enregistr\u00e9s en 1984 en Allemagne et le reste dans diverses villes des Pays-Bas en 1987, il existe une raison. Elle d\u00e9bute avec <em><strong>Shock Of Daylights<\/strong><\/em>, un mini LP six titres monstrueux les l\u00e9gendaires <strong>\u00ab\u00a0Longest Days\u00a0\u00bb<\/strong> et <strong>\u00ab\u00a0New Way Of Life\u00a0\u00bb<\/strong>, pr\u00e9sents ici et un assemblage des deux derniers albums <em><strong>Heads And Hearts<\/strong><\/em> et <em><strong>T<\/strong><strong>hunder Up<\/strong><\/em>, dernier album.
