Il joue de la guitare au sein du groupe <strong>Chelsea<\/strong>, puis fonde son propre groupe avec le bassiste <strong>Tony James<\/strong>. Dans ce dernier, un homme assassine, et tente de reconstituer le visage de sa fille d\u00e9figur\u00e9e dans un accident, en lui greffant certaines parties pr\u00e9lev\u00e9es sur ses victimes. Au final, seuls ses yeux sont authentiques.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u201cSous une forme d\u00e9guis\u00e9e, ces paroles \u00e9voquaient ma vie \u00e0 New York et une relation qui a mal tourn\u00e9, m\u2019a pouss\u00e9 \u00e0 me d\u00e9truire, et conduit au bord de la folie. Peut-\u00eatre que je r\u00e9fl\u00e9chissais \u00e0 mes propres infid\u00e9lit\u00e9s en tourn\u00e9e. D&rsquo;une certaine mani\u00e8re, celles-ci peuvent vous laisser sans \u00e2me\u2026\u201d<\/em><\/h4>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">De mani\u00e8re assez insolite, au milieu du titre, <strong>Billy Idol<\/strong> pose un <em>flow<\/em> rap sur un riff hard rock de <strong>Steve Stevens<\/strong>. Pratique encore peu r\u00e9pandue dans les genres rock et pop, en 1982\u2026<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u00ab\u00a0Le rap \u00e9tait partout \u00e0 New York \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9poque. Les tubes s\u2019encha\u00eenent, et la popularit\u00e9 de Billy Idol atteint son point culminant. Il d\u00e9passe son statut de rockeur pour devenir une ic\u00f4ne pop. Mais Billy n\u2019a pas appris \u00e0 g\u00e9rer le luxe et les exc\u00e8s inh\u00e9rents au succ\u00e8s. Son physique n\u2019est pas ad\u00e9quat mais il esp\u00e8re que son grain de voix l\u2019aidera \u00e0 faire oublier cette diff\u00e9rence. Stone refuse mais lui propose le r\u00f4le de <strong>Cat<\/strong>, un ami de Jim. A l\u2019origine, ce personnage devait tenir une large place dans le film du r\u00e9alisateur. Mais <strong>le 6 f\u00e9vrier 1990<\/strong>, Billy est victime d\u2019un grave accident de moto. Tr\u00e8s diminu\u00e9, il s\u2019acquitte de sa t\u00e2che en boitant. Son r\u00f4le se limite finalement \u00e0 de br\u00e8ves apparitions.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Billy Idol &#8211; L.A Woman<\/h3>\n<div class=\"youtube-embed\" data-video_id=\"93x9U9qXO4E\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"L.A. Il faut dire que peu de chanteurs poss\u00e8dent \u00e0 la fois la panoplie du <em>crooner,<\/em> et celle du <em>rocker<\/em>. Evidemment, les talents d\u2019auteur de <strong>Billy Idol<\/strong> sont loin d\u2019atteindre ceux du <em>po\u00e8te disparu<\/em>.
