En effet, les multiples r\u00e9\u00e9ditions ne pr\u00e9sentent pas la m\u00eame \u00ab <strong>dynamique<\/strong> \u00bb.<br \/>\nOn n\u2019imagine pas le <strong>travail d\u2019enregistrement en studio<\/strong> sans collages multipistes ou overdubs. De plus, l\u2019\u00e9cart de son entre <em>The Clash<\/em> et<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=XN7iEFVLf5c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em> London calling<\/em><\/a> (1979), plus \u00ab l\u00e9ch\u00e9 \u00bb, plaide en faveur d\u2019un <strong>Micky Foote adepte de la premi\u00e8re prise<\/strong>, tous les musiciens jouant de concert. Peut-\u00eatre quelques \u00ab retouches \u00bb ou collages, de ci, de l\u00e0, pour gommer les escarbilles et r\u00e9unir d\u2019\u00e9ventuels \u00e9carts, eurent-ils lieu mais rien de plus. De ce fait, <strong>le <em>Clash<\/em> initial, travail de \u00ab producteur \u00bb ou \u00ab d\u2019enregistreur \u00bb ? <\/strong>\u00ab <em>Mick, Paul ? Il circule des rumeurs sur des musiciens de studio \u0153uvrant \u00e0 l\u2019ombre des magn\u00e9tos \u2026 pfffffff ! Est-ce que \u00e7a g\u00e8ne quelqu\u2019un que Jimmy Page ait jou\u00e9 de la guitare en sous-main pour <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=qN5zw04WxCc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Who<\/a> ? Le nombre de pistes de <strong>guitares empil\u00e9es<\/strong> les unes aux autres s\u2019apparente \u00e0 <strong>un mille feuilles<\/strong>. S\u2019il n\u2019est pas la prog\u00e9niture exclusive de l\u2019homme aux manettes, on peut quand m\u00eame oser que ce 33-tours rel\u00e8ve d\u2019une garde-robe qu\u2019il a m\u00e9ticuleusement s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9e. Mais l\u2019essentiel est ailleurs. Les <strong>Damned<\/strong> auront eu le m\u00e9rite d\u2019<strong>ouvrir de bal<\/strong>, sortant cette mise de d\u00e9part avant tous les autres. Pour l\u2019occasion, Lowe \u00e9labore <strong>un son de dernier de la classe,<\/strong> une \u00ab brutalit\u00e9 \u00bb <strong>plus proche<\/strong> de celle du <strong>Clash<\/strong> que des Pistols. L\u2019\u00e9coute, hormis <strong>la voix s\u00e9pulcrale de Dave Vanian<\/strong> assaisonn\u00e9e d\u2019\u00e9cho, donne le sentiment de <strong>\u00ab tr\u00e8s peu \u00bb entre<\/strong> la console d\u2019<strong>enregistrement et les instruments<\/strong>. Lorsqu\u2019il \u0153uvre pour lui-m\u00eame, le producteur \/ Chanteur pr\u00f4ne le bio, le naturel. Il eut \u00e9t\u00e9 dommage qu\u2019il n\u2019en fasse pas de m\u00eame pour <strong>The Damned<\/strong>.
